Lil Mone

Damn it's been a long time coming. I first started rapping when I was bout 13. One day I was riding in the car with my cousin and the radio went out and everybody was pissed off cause we ain't have shit to listen to. I was always a big music fan and I always knew damn near all the words to every song that came on the radio, so everybody in the car was like aye Mone rap this song rap, Aye Mone rap dat song everytime we got in the car to ride out. One day I busted a freestyle and everybody told me " shut the fuck up." I keep freestyling and cutting da fool on da humbug trynna make everybody in the car laugh. Every now and then I would say a line and everybody in da car be like dat shit was tight. Then I realized damn i can freestyle, next thing u know everywhere I went I was freestyling and folks start paying attention to what I was saying and acknowldging that I could rap, but I ain't have no beats or anywhere to record. I always had a If i don't do it myself it won't get done right attitude. I knew that where ever I went to get beats they was gonna keep the good beats for theyself or they homeboys, so I bought me a beat machine, keyboard and track recorder keyboard. And went off.



In the summer of 2006 me and my dog Lil Corey decided to form a group. The first song we recorded together as a group was U ain`t Nothin Like Me. The same day we recorded anxious to make moves we took it staight to the club to test it out and realized we had a banger. The record was real big in Columbus and was spinning daily on both local stations and some folks started checking for us and the phone calls started coming in.Due to us being unexperienced and not knowing the proper way to work a record it never broke outside of columbus.



That same year I produced a track for The FlowJack Family called "They ain`t ready." The track recieved radioplay on over 10 different radiostations.
