The hip hop game has been represented and divided into coasts; the East, West and now more recently the South (respectively). But if one were to take a trip to Wayne County, in the heart of Detroit, they’d be sure to witness hip hop’s next phenomenon.



Lil Mike Mike did not receive notoriety overnight, however, and his lyrics pay homage to the obstacles he has overcome. Born Michael Scott on October 5th, 1985, his family instantly knew he was different. Being the youngest of three boys, Lil Mike Mike discovered his undeniable musical talent in the second grade, and hasn’t looked back since.



Growing up in a city best known for its automotive centers and musical legacies celebrated by Motown, Lil Mike Mike continues to stay loyal to the streets. By studying the skills of local influences such as the StreetLordz, Rock Bottom, and the Eastside Chedda Boyz, Lil Mike Mike has been able to hone his own craft and come up with a sound that is truly unique.



After the tragic death of his Uncle Duck (Daryl Scott) in 2005, Ray “Baby Ray” Bartell took him under his wing and reintroduced him to the city as a member of Cosa Nostra Entertainment. Lil Mike Mike rose to prominence shortly thereafter when his mixtape “Stay Posted” sold out in the Metro Detroit area.



Due to increased popularity Lil Mike Mike is featured on Detroit’s own Turbulence TV nightly, and has been included on the hit singles “That’s What’s Up”, “Car Keys”, and “Cosa Boy”. In addition, his most recent single “Look @ Me” is featured on the 17000 Block Soundtrack and has received rave reviews. With several music videos already under his belt, Lil Mike Mike won’t let anything come between him and his ambition for success.
