Lil Lee

Lil Lee aka Lloyd Lee mayes Jr has been making noise on the Virginia music scene for a while but it didn't start with just him. He started out as part of group known as ''burgula maskiz'' aka da burgulas which featured e skummy 5 mics Jr nickel us f and lil lee. This supergroup stormed in looking like Richmond would be its template for sucess doing a series of intros freestyles and commercial for local radio DJs but split when group member e skummy was murdered in late '05. Lil' Lee began doing his own puttin out a mixtape called I'm so hood movin about a 1000 units himself in his area showing his competition he was solo force to be reckon with. Lil Lee, known for his damagin usage of words and incredible punchlines started going up to power 92 in 2006 a local radio station and started doing freestyles when major artist were in town forcing listeners to call in like I know he was but who is that and where's he from. With his name bussun in the streets in late 06 early 07 he hooked up wit btp on myspace a producer from Dallas Texas. The two end up getting together and recording a song called 30rounds , this generating him a buzz in Texas as well as his hometown. The track was featured on a mixtape he did with a DJ explicit in early 2007 titled syrup and a soda pop moving nearly a 7500 units locally and on the internet, as of right now. With his mixtape circulating he was introduced to a Scotty Lee CEO of greencity records, an independent label based out of killeen Texas. By June Lil' Lee had hosted a series of mixtapes for DJs which featured a lot of his tracks. He is still wit da label and with the new year right Around the corner, he is set to drop his debut album titled kick in the door. The album features the hard hittin singles dollar bill produced by noki swazay and Rabbit ass mind produced by Tha Franchisestyle. It also features tracks produced by da Franchize and lab ox from g unit records so be on the look for out da album early spring 08. For now he's on a promotional tour doing shows and still gearing up for the release of syrup and a soda pop 2 hosted by DJ explicit. He also has another mixtape dropping called Weed n PillZ and currently working on mixtape wit DJ whut it dew called I do dis. This 23 year old just don't stop!
