In 1997 the Bielefeld based light artist Matthias Strobl invented a completely new form of

liquid projection, called lightmotiv.analog.

It allows the manual composition of mega sized projections up to 100 meters in diameter

- consisting out of colored liquids, which are dropped into a shined through petri dish and

then become subject to chemical reaction. No lightmotiv ever repeats itself, every moment

of the Projection is 100% unique and can not be reproduced.

When it's gone - it's gone.

As long as our eyes and ears and all of our senses do net perceive digital, everything is analogue. As long as our brain does not process ones and zeros, everything is analogue.

So as long as as our life is an organic process, everything remains analogue.

Organic Processes happen in us, around us and everywhere in cosmic space.

lightmotiv.analog opens a micro-window to the infinite complexety of organic processes in a measure and time scale that is compatible to human perception. We have no idea about

the driving forces of the laws of nature, but we can watch them and see that they are beautiful.

And by far more complex than anything the digital world has ever created.

lightmotiv is meant to be the campfire of cyberspace, where people get visual entertainment and balance their thoughts.

It is an analogue antipole to the hecticness of our digitised era.

This unique technology is shown at events and

art exhibitions. It is also availible as DVD.
