lightcraft is a band that thrives under sadness and melancholia. Formerly known as parallel lines and then tenterhooks, lightcraft comprises of 5 long-time friends who, under different circumstances, met and decided to form a band. They pride themselves on their trademark anthemic melancholic sound, crafting atmospheric songs out of sadness and joy while under the influence of bands such as Coldplay, Snow Patrol, Athlete and the likes. They released an EP during the tail-end of 2006, The Modern Seasons, and they released their debut album, Losing Northern Lights, in 2008. The band is currently recording their sophomore album in Jakarta, Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the album planned to consist of 11 new songs that will showcase their progress in terms of songwriting and their maturity as a band. In the end, all Lightcraft want is to share their music (live and recorded) to a wider, global audience and after six years, they are edging closer to their hopes and dreams.
