Sibling Rivalry breeds creativity, according to S'Von and Ringo the brother duo who make up the Rock-Hip-Hop-Soul band Lifted Culture.



Born and raised in St. Louis where they both studied music and beyond at the prestigious Conservatory of the Arts, this duo, who blend a unique mixture of cross-platform musical genres are becoming known all over the United States and beyond: touring with Kelly Clarkson, Blue Cantrell and Jessica Simpson, while also making appearances on the Teen Choice Awards and The Late Show with David Letterman---but these are just their side gigs.



Lifted Culture, their group, is the focus.

Combining unique vocal blends (Svon's voice is sultry while Ringo's is gritty) over melodic beats that soulfully infuse hip-hop, rock, this duo has coined the Lifted Culture-sound. "It's a sound that comes out of music's deepest parts, ya know, " says S'Von, "it's just a reflection of what we grew up listening to.basically everything."



But Ringo and S'Von's eclectic range does not stop at the "music". Their stage presence and live shows surpass many of the popular acts in today's musical climate. Backed by keyboards, guitar, bass, drums and a DJ, these two have the ability to reach into the souls of the fans in the audience. Now combine their edge-like fashion sense and charismatic looks and you've got the soul-child of Hendrix and Sade.



No doubt about it, Lifted Culture is hot!

"Music evokes raw emotion, " says Ringo, "when we are doing our music it's like everything else goes away, and all we want to do is perform, it's erotic in a way."



S'Von echoes his older brother's sentiment. "I can't think of anything else that I would want to do but my own music," he says. "It's so therapeutic."



The Lifted Culture project is currently being shopped to record labels and national tours.
