Power metal influences in a death metal band? It sounds crazy, but you'll hear it in our riffs. We are Destined to Decay, a Toronto-based technical death metal band. With influences from everyone from The Misfits to Megadeth, we are an eclectic group with a wide range of skills.
Aggressive, double-lead guitars drive the band, accompanied by intense blasts of drumming and the signature growling of death metal. Looking for musical proficiency and technical prowess? You've found it.
We released our first album, Beyond Salvation, under the name LifeGoesOnWithoutMe. It made enough of an impression on JF Dagenais, of Kataklysm, that he agreed to record the sophomore release. With our new found brutality we re-styled ourselves as Destined to Decay, and named our new CD Life Goes On Without Me.
This is a “no frills” band, using our talent and musicianship to best present our music, rather than relying on numerous props, costumes and gimmicks to sell our sound.
