In a world where musical trends and styles can shift in an instant, it's nice to know there are still some things in punk rock that never change. Slamming into a complete stranger in a pit is as fun as its always been, raising your fist (or bottle) and chanting along with a chorus has not lost any of its appeal, and Librium is still as determined as ever to bring GOOD punk rock back to the energetic, pissed off, and drunken masses. In the spirit of their punk forefathers Pennywise, Bad Religion, and Face to Face, the Southern California based Librium can ignite a fire under even the most subdued crowd with their neck-breaking speeds, breakdowns heavier than a fat chick in a candy store, and choruses so catchy you'd have to be dead to not chant along with your fist pumping in the air (and if you spend enough time in a Librium pit, dead is how you might end up). Preferring bars with sticky floors and seedy clientèle over upscale establishments that actually bother to enforce California's no indoor smoking law, the boys in Librium aren't afraid to rustle a few feathers mostly thanks to their lewd conduct and filthy fucking mouths, not to mention their favorable attitudes towards drinking enough alcohol to kill a small horse. The lyrics also aren't for everyone; in fact, if you aren't offended at least once during a Librium show, then you should ask for your money back. But, despite their reputations and all their shenanigans, these boys still find the time and energy to put on a great fucking punk rock show, promising to leave plenty of blood, sweat, tears, spit, and a few other bodily fluids all over the stage each and every time they play a set. So don't get caught up in a fad, because not only will Librium make fun of you at every available opportunity, but you also might miss out on some classic punk rock complete with bad words, bad attitudes, and great fucking music.
