LOOKING FOR MYSTICA nació en Valencia en 2006 tras la reestructuración de CHRYSANTHEMUM grupo con influencias de black sinfónico y death melódico principalmente, cuya trayectoria musical data del año 2000. Con dicha banda se llegó a grabar en 2002 una demo de 2 temas titulada “Selene” y se dieron numerosos conciertos en diversas salas de Valencia, Alicante, Castellón y Barcelona. Después de varios cambios en la formación Alfon, Beto, Berni deciden cambiar el nombre del grupo y comenzar de cero.
Es entonces cuando nace LOOKING FOR MYSTICA con la idea de poder hacer un metal más abierto y moderno, incluso cambiante (de ahí el nombre de la banda). En ese momento entran en el grupo Rober al bajo y Diego a la guitarra, así como Juan de nuevo a la voz principal. Con la formación definitiva, y tras meses de ensayo, LFM logra encontrar el sonido y el estilo del grupo: metal extremo cantado en inglés en el que se combinan partes pesadas, lentas, rápidas así como pasajes melódicos, técnicos e incluso partes electrónicas. La banda asume el reto de componer temas heterogéneos, con un estilo propio y característico.
En febrero de 2008 Looking for Mystica lanza la demo “Prelude: Tragedy of a Life that passes by”, compuesta por 4 temas. La demo, grabada y producida por la propia banda, pone de manifiesto las diferentes influencias del grupo y presagia la próxima grabación de un álbum completo.

LOOKING FOR MYSTICA was born in Valencia, Spain, in 2006, after restructuring CHRYSANTHEMUM, band influenced by symphonic black metal and melodic death metal which started in 2000. In 2002 this band recorded a demo entitled “Selene” played in many shows at Valencia, Alicante, Castellon and Barcelona. After some line up changes, Alfon, Beto and Berni, decided to change the name of the band and begin a new project from zero.
Then LOOKING FOR MYSTICA started with the idea of working on a modern and open metal, even changeable (thats the reason of the bands name). Rober (Bass Guitar) and Diego (Guitar) joined the band, as well as Juan, that came back as frontman. With the compltete line up, LFM finally found the sound and the style: extreme metal, sung in English, combining slow parts, with speed, heavy, technical, melodic and electronic stuff. The band assumes the challenge of make up heterogeneous songs, with their own and characteristic style.
On february of 2008, Looking for Mystica releases the demo “Prelude: Tragedy of a Life that passes by”, composed by 4 songs. The cd, recorded and selfproduced by the band, shows the different influences on the band and precedes the full album that will outcome soon.
