Continuously formulating a complex discourse - whether it is from his massive sonic hallucinations, opiate induced shoegaze, or melodious amalgamation of rhythmic congruency - letdown consistently challenges the linearity of pop music, as well as the restrictions



Surrounding present day sound collage.a letdown piece never adheres to specifics, yet simultaneously facilitates possibility, giving way to an undulating sense of

emotion. Gathering momentum from either the beautifully executed

doom of his piano works or the mutated secretions of his ubiquitous “beat” making, letdown strives to apply his conclusive discoveries from these uninhabitable spaces to our impermanent fabric of time and sound. In doing so he welds elements of cartography to the plastic realm of the present through the construction of unique combinations of place and space. Thus, new territories of functional sounds are created and emerge forth from the grainy disposition.



Gathering from a wide range of eclectic influences, letdown seems to acknowledge everything from the glacial deposits of Tim Hecker, to the grime ridden contortions of the rza, and even the haunting croon of Elliot Smith. He borrows, manipulates, augments, and steals, all in the honest hope of assembling an invigorating statement concerning progression. His cathartic conclusions wryly balance themselves somewhere between the edge of our perception and the vital nerve of our emotional epicenter. letdown effortlessly summons opacity in a world of translucent hues.
