By difinition, POETICA is a combination of music and poetry, though here you will find much more pertaining to the heart and soul.
Each track with it's own identity and style touches deeply upon intense emotions, exploding to life with the sultry and soothing vocals of La Poetessa herself Leslie Cottle.
And the original music of Yacoub Moilim who brings her words to life while crossing over many cultures and musical styles.
Something mysterious and magical has transpired in the creative process that no one was expecting. Many of these tracks have actually helped and even healed several who have listened. Sound crazy? Keep reading!!
Many of the tracks pertain to such difficult subjects such as grief, loss, pain, fear, suicide etc
And somehow La Poetessa's powerful healing gifts she possesses in life have transcended through her tracks and unto the listeners who need it most. A dream come true for she is only truly happy when she is healing!

Not all this work pertains to pain, many tracks touch upon such splendors as PASSION, DESIRE, INSPIRATION, SPIRITUALITY, PRO PEACE and most of LOVE. All subjects very near to La Poetessa's heart.
She is proud to announce the release of 3 CD's very soon.
The first, SOUL WHISPERER, a title given to her by many she has helped, is a collection of healing, spiritual, inspirational and pro peace tracks.
The second CD, SOUL SEDUCTION is the collection of her sultry, sensuous and oh so romantic tracks ranging from LOVE, DESIRE, LUST, UNREQUITED LOVE, TRUE LOVE, SOUL MATES and even bordering on very tasteful, yet intoxicating erotica. These too have been said to have magical powers but very different from the others!
There is truly something in this collection for everyone with a pulse!
Her work transcends race, religion, culture, age or gender. And literally whispers to the soul.
POETICA Productions also produced a wonderful independent film a few years ago entitled
LET THEM EAT about a contemporary woman, Bella, who is leading a parallel life with the condemned queen of France Marie Antoinette show casing her agonizing last few hours of life before her unjust execution. This is a very spiritual and artistic film far from the commercial Hollywood block busters. The film even was compared to Sophia Coppola's "Marie Antoinette" numerous times by critics and got superior reviews!!!
And of course the film is filled with original poetry tracks as an added bonus!!

POETICA Productions also produced a touching and haunting poetry film/music video for the grief track "REACHING" which can be seen here on the profile. It has a very gothic and dramatic look combined with the raw emotion of this mystical woman trying in vain to reach Heaven where her soulmate now resides.
This little film has done what cannot be explained once again, so very many people write and say that it has truly and profoundly helped and even healed them with the grieving process. For La Poetessa there is no greater reward!!
Another video of interest is YOU ARE NOT ALONE which can be seen here on the profile as well. This dramatic and touching track pertains to the difficult subject of suicide and as an angelic being in the track, she explains the reasons for choosing to live.
It is said that this track has actually saved more than one life, if only one, then all this is worth it! La Poetessa always makes time for those who come to her in times of distress and gladly reaches out to heal and sooth.
