Leslie Carter is not your average female artist. As a vocalist and songwriter she has appeared on such hits as “Waiting in The Darkness” with Erick Morillo, “Power” and “Gotta Have Love” with Benji Candelario, “Just Like I Want” with Bad Boy Bill and “Living for Love” with Frank Delour. She is also the female lead singer for the Long Island based band, “Chaser”.

What makes Ms. Carter stand apart from the pack? She has amassed even more hours on the other side of the mic… at the mixing board as an audio engineer/producer. She has worked behind the boards of many commercial studios including Subliminal Records (where she held the position of studio manager and engineer), Songlabs East Music, her private recording studio and Bass Hits Studios in New York City.

With a specialty in vocal production and arrangement she has attracted work from many US industry producers such as Erick Morillo, Todd Terry, Harry Choo Choo Romero, DJ Spen, Jose Nunez, DJ Skribble, The Mad Stuntman, Kemal Golden, Souldynamic, Jorge Jaramillo and Alex Alicea of “Who Da Funk” and Michael Moog.

Also providing music for commercial jingle houses all over the country, Leslie does commercial voiceovers, vocals and jingle production for clients such as Ford, WE (Women’s Entertainment) TV, Buick and Modell's. Ms. Carter’s international voiceovers can be heard as far away as Austria, producing DJ Id’s for Austria based DJ’s Bob Banana, Sonic Seven, Junior Sonic, in Italy for Souldynamic and in the U.S. for Jellybean Benitez and John Davis.

She also has plenty vocal and production work coming from overseas……

With the release of “High On Love”, we get a taste of how strong her production and arrangement skills are with two LC Dancefloor Remix offerings. This collaboration with Kenichi Yanai of Japan’s Soul Source Production will be released in Feb 2009 on Universal Japan. “Summershine” co-produced this time by Ms. Carter with the Italian duo Souldynamic is chocked full of vocal harmonies to bring a summertime burner that takes you back to summer days on the beaches of Ibiza.

2009 is shaping up to be a year of hot new releases for Ms. Carter as she also embarks on a new journey with producers Ethan White of Tortured Soul and Ed Dunne, better known as “dunnEasy”. “Reach For The Sky” has all the makings of being another chart topper for the Jellybean Soul label who is enjoying much success with their club hit “Won’t Stop” featuring Monique Bingham also produced by the dunnEasy team. Her next offering of 2009 was the co-production "Rhythm of Brazil" with Roland Clark and she's also teaming up with Chris Foreman of Steal Vybe with their 2010 release "I Got You".
