The band has been featured on BET’s 106 & Park, headlined at Central Park’s NYC AIDSWALK Concerts (2003-2007), NYC Summer Stage, New Orleans International Music & Arts Festival, Atlanta’s National Blacks Arts Festival and Reggae on The River.

THE BAND MEMBERS

Lead singer – song writer: Leon
Also known as an actor who has starred in over 25 movies. His early years in Mt. Vernon, NY were filled with music of his father singing Nat King Cole or Motown songs, but a special cord was struck inside him when he first heard Bob Marley’s Natty Dread album coming out of the neighbors window. Close friends introduced him to Rastafarian culture and he has found it his home ground to return to again and again.

As an actor, Leon has starred in Disney’s blockbuster "Cool Runnings", Above The Rim and Waiting To Exhale to name a few. His versatility as a performer is manifested in one of his most recent projects: the touring stage play of the NY Times best sellers list novel, Eric Jerome Dickey’s "Friends and Lovers". In 2003, Leon was seen on the big screen in the Mirimax film "Buffalo Soldiers" and Merchant/Ivory’s "Side Streets", directed by Tony Gerber.
Leon has also appeared on television with a re-occurring role on "Crossing Jordan" as well as the HBO series "OZ". Leon’s passion for music was shared with fans as he portrayed singer David Ruffin in the award winning movie "The Temptations" and Little Richard in "The Little Richard Story" as well has the underground classic, "The Five Heartbeats".
Leon made his singing debut playing a reggae singer in "The Price of Kissing", in which he sang a memorable reggae rendition of "Daddy's Home".
Leon balances his array of talents between all medium, but it is evident that his first passion is reggae as seen when he performs with Leon & The Peoples. Leon says I was always more comfortable with that style because of the sultriness and that incorporates soul, gospel, dance, all the things that I love. It made me want to Sing. The Young Lions, the first musical group Leon performed with, opened the door to his live musical performances, but once he started singing original tunes, he knew where he wanted to go, which led him down ‘The Road Less Traveled’ with Leon & The Peoples.

Leon has been a frequent presenter at the BET Awards and is a two time NAACP Image Award Nominee for Best Actor.
