Leo Altarelli

--'I was born in the countryside of East Anglia and grew up in a musical family. My mum taught me to sing, my grandad taught me to play the trumpet, write songs and sail a boat, and my Italian dad taught me about performing and telling stories! I sing, play guitar, trumpet and any other instruments you might come across in these tunes.' As a solo artist, and performing in other projects such as singing/playing with Birmingham based gypsy folk/punk orchestra 'The Destroyers' Leo has already built up a varied performing background from festivals such as Glastonbury (Avalon stage) concert halls (Birmingham town hall) to clubs and venues such as the Vortex Jazz Club and Passing Clouds, He has recorded his own e.p's, produced/released albums with bands such as 'The Sugar Beats Band' with which he won a Birmingham Jazz Award, he has helped produce his own music video 'Cabin Fever' and featured on records such as the 2003's BBC Radio2 Folk Album of Year 'Sweet England by 'Jim Moray'."Sublime vocals by Leo Altarelli" SongLines review of 'The destroyers' 'Top of the World' album 'Out Of Babel' 09/09He is currently playing his own shows solo combining singing, guitar and trumpet, soul,blues and dub.
