"Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes is just f*cking likeable . Just one listen to the brassy, fast-paced "Wave The White Flag" will get you hooked and back in touch with your 90s roots, but something about their fun, unique sound stays fiercely current. Simpler, rockier tracks like "Snowstorm" – off their latest EP, Party Hats and Hand Grenades – show the band moving in a decidedly more edited direction, but it's still Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes showing people a good time." ---95.5 WBRU, Mar. 2011

"Rhythmic reggae, catchy punk rock, and a heavy dose of rudeness in the name of Ska combine to make the band remind you of bands & musicians like Madness, The Specials, Peter Tosh, Operation Ivy, Bad Manners, and even The Clash" --- Rob Duguay, 90.7 WXIN, Nov. 2009

"Warwick-based ska experts." --- Providence Phoenix, Apr. 2010

Nominated for Rhode Island's Best Live Act of 2009 --- RI's Motif Magazine, May 2009

Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes is a seven-piece punk/ska band based out of Warwick, RI. The group was formed in 2003 and only one rule was made. to have fun.
Their sound had been said to contain three main ingredients; Roots Reggae, catchy Punk Rock, and a heavy dose of soulful Ska.
Remaining busy for the past six years writing and touring New England, Lemon Lime Tennis Shoes proved itself worthy with the debut release of "Take It or Leave It," which was a force to be reckoned with. Their instant impact on the local ska scene was apparent, earning attention from the likes of FYE, WBRU and RI's Motif Magazine after playing shows tirelessly throughout 2007.
Most recently, LLTS has released a 4-track EP entitled 'Party Hats and Hand Grenades', which showcases the band taking a different approach to their music while still keeping a good blend of punk and ska. Having faced many obstacles and gaining support from RI-national bookers, LLTS has come a long way, and the best is yet to come.
LLTS has shared the stage with acts such as: Big D & the Kids Table, The Aquabats, The English Beat, The Misfits, Westbound Train, The Slackers, The Pietasters, Whole Wheat Bread, The Queers, Darkbuster, Sasquatch and the Sickibillies, Against All Authority, The Agents, Patent Pending, Far From Finished, Daly's Gone Wrong, Monty Are I, The Loved Ones, Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer, Cryptorchid Chipmunk, Detonate, M-80, Bad Larry, The Know How, Senior*Discount, The Emotron, Big World, The Castronauts, The Flaming Tsunamis, The Specs, Plan 17, Dead Ellington, Bi-Anal Ham Sandwich, In The Face, Skamasutra, Axis of Evil and The Delegates.
