The Lee University Campus Choir is part of a long and exciting musical legacy. Campus Choir is the oldest musical ensemble on the Lee University campus dating back to 1958. Campus Choir was started by Dr A.T. Humprhies as a classical choir. Throughout the years Campus Choir transitioned into a worship driven choir. Campus Choir's mission is to worship God "Flat out!".

While the focus of our ministry is, and will always be the Lee University Campus, the choir has had many wonderful opportunities to minister throughout the Eastern United States and in several countries. Campus Choir has performed worship concerts with Phil Driscoll in Sofia , Bulgaria , and with Alvin Slaughter in Kingston , Jamaica. In addition, Campus Choir and Power Unlimited have had the opportunity to sing at some of the leading churches in America . These churches include Times Square Church with Pastor David Wilkerson, Brooklyn Tabernacle, National Church of God, Mt. Paran Church of God, Christ Church in Nashville , North Cleveland Church of God, Abba’s House in Hixson , Tennessee, Princeton Pike Church of God, Covenant Church in Carrolton, Texas, Carpenter's Home Church in Lakeland , Florida, and La Basilica in Quito, Ecuador . Campus Choir enjoyed a summer tour of Israel in the summer of 1999, and traveled the European countries of Ireland , England , and Wales in the summer of 2002. In May of 2008 Campus Choir had the privledge to minister in Quito, Ecuador, in the center of the earth. Though Campus Choir has actually traveled to several foreign countries, its ministry is impacting thousands more due to the choir’s recent involvement with The Inspiration Networks, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and Daystar Network. Campus Choir and Power Unlimited have also had the privilidge of ministering alongside gospel musicians such as the Lanny Wolfe Trio, the Talleys, Michael English, Gary McSpadden, Judy Jacobs, Joy Gardner, Alvin Slaughter, Ron Kenoly, Geron Davis and Kindred Souls, The Crabb Family and most recently, David and Nicole Binion. Video recordings include, Let the Church Arise, Gabriel’s Song, Sing Out with One Voice, Praise, Worship and Glory, Jubilee!, Live In Worship!

Campus Choir has recorded a number of audio albums, including Premier Edition, Sing Noel, Let the Church Arise, Gabriel's Song, Revive Us Again (with Alvin Slaughter), Sing Out with One Voice (with Ron Kenoly), Tree of Light, Joy, Jubilee!, Times of Refreshing, Through The Fire (Power Unlimited), and our newest release The Comforter Has Come which premiered Spring 2006.

The Comforter Has Come release was the final project that was under the anointed and blessed direction of Dr. David Horton, who was director of Campus Choir for 25 years. Dr. David Horton passed away in May 2006 while on a summer tour with Campus Choir in Nassau , Bahamas . His teachings and words of wisdom will truly be missed.

Dr. Mark Bailey stepped in to fill in as director of the Campus Choir for the 2006-2007 school year. In addition to directing Campus Choir, Dr Bailey conducted and still conducts the Lee University Symphonic Band, another talented and anointed ministry on the Lee University campus.

The current directors of the Lee University Campus Choir are Pastor Jimmy and Johnna Phillips, formerly of Princeton Pike Church of God in Hamilton, Ohio. Pastor Jim holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Lee University. He has established himself as a songwriter, arranger, choir director and performer. His compositions have been featured on several recording projects, international Christian television and Benny Hinn crusades. He received the Church of God “Distinguished Minister Of Music” award in 1998 and again in 2003. In addition to directing the Campus Choir, Pastor Jimmy also directs the Mountain Meadows Choir, Praise Team and Praise Band. His wife Johnna holds a Bachelor of Business Education degree from Lee University. She is an accomplished organist and singer as well as an instructor of American Sign Language.

On November 1-3, 2007, the Campus Choir celebrated it's 50th Anniversary during Homecoming 2007. This event was a time of celebration and remembrance of the legacy of Campus Choir. A legacy of "Flat out" worship.
