"Lavondyss is the realm of all imagination, the source of all myth and legend, a place both beautiful and deadly." Lavondyss - Robert Holdstock

Born in a whirlwind of extravagant metaphors and rhetorical questions, Lavondyss are a Hardcore/Progressive/Post-Giving-A-Shit band from Rugby UK.

Forming in the backlash of an ocean of mediocrity, and sailing through it on only a pinch of salt and a bitter determination, scavaging for remedial winds to carry them over the constantly crashing waves that carve their path, one that is often seen, but rarely taken.

.What? Too pretentious?

Fine.

Armed with a direction and the most energetic live set this side of ProPlus, Lavondyss toured themselves to death in their first year, releasing two self funded demo CD's along the way.

Whilst Reborn into Disaster is fortunately nowhere to be found, the follow up, Available For Children's Parties happens to be FREE TO DOWNLOAD at www.lavondyss.co.uk

After tapping the shoulders of several awesome bands in 2007, including The Architects and Inme and a brief stint in which Jo Whiley bizzarely enquired as to whether we 'had any words', and numerous other antics that sent shockwaves (or just shock) up and down the country.

By 2008 Lavondyss had attracted the attention of A Wolf At Your Door Records, and were offered a deal. Shortly after Klash Music Management offered a long term contract with the band. Accepting the contracts, Lavondyss' first official release came in September '08 in the form of the six-track mini-album Nibiru.

Since then, Nibiru is now commercially available worldwide physically and digitally, and some very friendly magaziney type people (Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Big Cheese.) radio people (Alex Baker, Nick Margerrison, Bruce Dickinson.) and interwebnetsitey people (Subba-Cultcha, Altsounds, Sonic Dice.) have said some very nice things about it indeed.

With all this the lead up to the next album, which is currently being kept 'under wraps' (possibly tortilla) and more touring extravaganzas including international-flavoured jaunts, Lavondyss are hard, hard at work, and warn everyone, including strangers who they pass on the street, to keep both their eyes peeled, keep one keen eye on that Myspace page, and most of all, try not to blink.
