LAUREL

Started in July 2006 in a small town of Quebec, Canada, LAUREL immediately got noticed. " I think our music is something really original. That's why people got interested into what we do." explains drummer Jonathan Chretien. "We tried to play everywhere we could. We played a lot of local shows, then we got the opportunity to play outside our hometown."



Only a few months after the band's creation, LAUREL already had recorded and released a EP. They also played at the Vans Warped Tour in Montreal. "We never tought we'd win the Ernie Ball contest to play there." says guitar player Dominic Vaillancourt. "Everybody told us we had no chance at all but we kept on trying and it worked!"



Three months after their prestation at the Warped Tour, they started talking with Kevin Gales, owner of Torque Records, and now manager of the band, then signed a deal. "LAUREL is a band we immediately fell in love with, and we got to know them right away, and really got the spirit of the guys really quickly." says Gales.



Right after signing the deal, LAUREL began writing the last songs of their first full lenght album. They recorded "INFINITY" in march 2008. " We can't wait for the release. It seems so long before we can make it hear to everyone." says singer Vincent Beaudet. "The songs on this album are the most personal ones we ever wrote. These are the ten best songs we wrote!"



Debut album "INFINITY" in a store near you on January 6th, 2009 through Torque Records and distributed worldwide by Victory Records.
