Laura Fay Lewis is a Filmmaker, Singer, Musician, and an Actress. A multi-media artist from, Coral Gables, Florida. She attended Juilliard as a Theatre Major. Over the years, she has performed in classical and modern theatre, opera, jazz, musical theatre, and modern dance as well. She also is an award nominated Actress and Filmmaker, a Screenwriter, Songwriter, Poet, and Painter. Laura Fay is the founding member and creator of the rock band The Blisstones where she is Lead Singer, Songwriter, and Rhythm Guitarist. She is an avid devotee of Krisna Consciousness, Dance, Yoga, Biking, Hiking, and Beachcombing.Her feature film "Empty Handed Painter" has garnered some serious producing interest and talent. One of her favorite roles that she has played on stage was Emily Dickinson in the one woman show, "The Belle of Amherst". Other playwrights she has enjoyed performing roles in plays have included Shakespeare, Chekhov, Moliere, Strindberg, Pirandello, Shepard, Williams. Laura Fay and Glenn Schuld's Dance/ Electronica tracks have been played at the Escada Spring Collection and House of Deluxe Fashion shows and the Winter Music conference in South Beach, Florida. Her band The Blisstones was just selected as Best Alternative Rock CD "Slapback" in 2006 for the New Century Hitseeker Peoples Choice Awards with other mainstream and national acts. She has shared the stage with actors Kevin Spacey, Christina Zorich, Kelly McGillis, Aaron Eckhart, Elizabeth McGovern, Ving Rhames, Olympia Dukakis, Evan Handler, Sharon Angela, Tony Peck, Jill Hennessey, Billy Otis, Stuart Rudin, Joseph Brutsmann, Steven Flynn and other talented artists and musicians. Always interested in re-inventing herself and inspired by people, life, and helping others realize their dreams, thru art, theater, film and music. Some people call her Rennaisance Woman others that really know her "L-Fay" Recently she was featured in 3 art shows, "Taking it Higher" at Jungle Studios,"The History of Conspiracy" at 207 Gallery and Mike Saijo's "Corpus Xeroxysm" at The Thompkins Square Library Art Gallery where her music and theatre performance was featured. She has written for The Soho Journal, and other publications online and is currently a co-writer and actress in the movie "Open". She is now a published poet as well in a new anthology with 10 other poets from all over the world entitles "Inspire the Planet".
