Laura Conway at www.myspace.com/lauraconwaymusic / Blue Laura Conway hails from Sligo in the Northwest of Ireland. She is a singer/songwriter and is also a professional concert pianist, violinist and guitarist. She is also very much involved in musical production. Her main focus at the moment is to make a career and build profile in the music industry. She says "It's my passion and I might aswel go for it while I am still young. I have dedicated my life to music. I love it and I am so determined to make something happen for myself!"

Although the pop industry is her main focus at the moment she also writes musical scores consisting of four full scale operas, symphonies and concertos.

Laura had a brief insight to fame when herself and 3 of her sisters (The Conway Sisters) made it to the finals of Simon Cowells hit TV Show The X Factor. The girls had already been performing and recording in the 3 years previous to The X Factor. They wrote and co-produced their debut album with Simon Hill, of which 3 songs reached the top 10 in the Irish charts. The first "What do you do?" and the third single "Miss You" was written by Laura at age 14. Without trying, "Miss You" also got picked up and played a few times on BBC Radio 1 after its release which was quite a surprise.

One of Lauras first major performances was infront of 20,000 people in Sligo for Westlifes homecoming concert. She then went on to support them on their turnaround tour and sang at Shane Filans wedding. Following The X Factor, she performed at 25 dates of The X Factor tour all across the UK in 2006

Lauras main role within the Conway Sisters was arranging the harmonies and instrumentation. She was known as the cheeky sister. She made headlines in the Irish press at age 15 when she broke into the Today Fm studios in Dublin and presented Irish dj Phil Cawly with a copy of their debut single.

The Conway Sisters decided to

split in 2006 to persue individual career paths.

Now at age 22 with all this experience behind her and the huge support from her family, Laura is more determined than ever and already has had offers from major record labels in Ireland and in the Uk. She is currently living in Hollywood and attending the Musicians Institute on Hollywood blvd. Her main focus for the next 6 months is to become a proficient musical producer using her strength in arrangements while also networking with industry professionals.
