Last Soul Descendents, of Houston, TX, was formed in 1996 and is made up of two members, Darren Roberts and Leah Moore. L.S.D., for short, also collaborates with various artists and features them on different projects. L.S.D came up with their name because they felt that it captured the idea of artists working together to produce music and art that is real and true to their hearts. It seems that anymore this is a rare and valuable quality and that those that feel that way about their product are among the last souls and it is up to the artists to keep it alive.

Last Soul Descendents music style is classified as Electronic with the sub-genres of Down-Tempo, Trip Hop and Dub. Some of their influences are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Prince, George Clinton and the P Funk All-stars, Zapp, Burning Spear, Sly and Robbie, Bjork, Portishead, Lamb, Morcheeba, just to name a few. L.S.D. tries to encompass all the various styles into their music to give it a blend of hypnotic grooves.

I guess you can say Darren Roberts been into music all of his life as a baby banging on pots pans drums made out of boxes anything that made a sound.
