"Next up was a touring band that had played Crack Soup on Thursday night but did not have a Friday show booked anywhere, so they stayed in Charlotte and played this show. I had checked out Last Rate Service (www.myspace.com/lastrateservice) from Ranger, Texas on their myspace page, but their recordings while not bad at all just don't do justice to their live show. They really had a great presence about them and delivered their all as if they were some huge band playing to a packed house of fans. One of their guitarists was in drag, but he seemed pretty serious about his crossdressing as he had some type of prosthetic breastplate that he was wearing underneath his top. They were a hard-edged but melodic old-school punk band like 1988-1992 era Bad Religion I'd say."

"Last Rate Service delivers "Abduct Me" (Furious George) in a loose, gritty Social D-influenced fashion that features an infectious guitar melody"

"It's really good. The singer is good, and I really liked a lot of those guitar riffs. It's hard, it's really good shit!"
