LASHAH

Marcus Lashah was born and raised in E. St. Louis, IL. In keeping with the rich musical tradition of musical pioneers who were also from E. St. Louis, IL (Mile Davis, Phil Perry, The McCoys, and many more) (Marcus is the great-nephew of the late great George McCoy), he seemed destined to follow in the footsteps of the harmonies of sounds of his surroundings. He took to playing the drums more than the bass and guitar, as a drummer he use to mimic the playing style of Peter Criss and Neil Peart. At 13 yrs old, he joined a local church choir, where he sang lead on a couple of gospel songs.
The next 5 years of his musical appetite consisted of trying to master the art of writing poetry and lyrics. While in the military living in Heidelberg Germany, he began playing keyboards. Though never mastering the keyboard like he did with poetry and Drums, he because to realize that the keyboard gave him the ability to be musically independent (because of the vast amount of patches or internal instrument sounds available in sound modules and keyboard).
