Born in Peoria, Illinois, Landon is a singer/songwriter who started writing songs in his early teens. He was influenced early on by such artist as Simon& Garfunkel, The Beach Boys and Gordon Lightfoot. He was particularly fascinated by how these artists created the music and lyrics to flow together to somehow alter ones moods and emotions.
As time progressed he was listening to several different artists like Matchbox Twenty, The Goo Goo Dolls and Oasis. His mixed variety of influences help contribute to his to his unique style which seems to be a blend of acoustic rock, folk and modern country. He has been likened to such artists as John Mayer, Ryan Adams and Jack Johnson.
In 2007 Landon won an award in a Paramount songwriting contest with his song "Runway Lights". And in 2011, he received another award in the same contest for his song, "Keep on Walkin'".
In 2009 Landon released his debut album titled "Two Story Fairlane" and is currently busy writing and recording to complete his sophomore album due out the first part of 2012. He also plays in two bands in the central Illinois area in which he plays cover songs and his originals.
