Lady X

Who I'd like to meet:



Lady X, born Xishel Hyde from the beautiful jewel of belize was the first female selector among many sounds in Belize City. 2004 came upon a rising star that would take the country by storm, and later the world. Being that her foundation is known to be solid, nothing less was expected from Lady X. Being the only female to play sound in Belize, Lady X was never a day intimidated by the male population around her. Playing alongside the likes of her father Stone Jam Sound; who holds the title as the 1 sound in Belize, Belizean Movements, Cloud 9 Sound, Tagg International, Dignitariz, Alliance Sound Crew, & a host of sound systems in Belize. Among these sounds she was never known as a female selector, but only as a DJ.



Her horizon then expanded when she started working on the airwaves of Belize. That opportunity led to the branding of her name Lady X. Playing on popular stations such as More F.M., Wave Radio, Positive Vibes Radio and Krem F.M. She was drowning the Belizean nation with her fantastic & unique style of mixing, cutting, and remixing. The nation & the game of djing changed rapidly by the new breath that fell upon them.



Lady X then moved from Belize City to the US where she was introduced to a new style of the music business. Expanding & adopting quickly was no challenge for her. Knowing that the population of DJ's were nothing compared to her native land Belize, Lady X took the West Coast by storm. Playing with the likes of Krossfayah sound, Rock Steady Sound, Tazmania sound and at VP Record events. She made her first appearance on the East Coast in New York City playing alongside a great friend and mentor known across the nation as DJ Rampage, who's resume is indeed the industry standard for a dj in the business; along with Blackhole Sound, & Collision Movements.



Lady X continues to spread her wonderful skill and talent over the US at different venues in New York, California and of course Belize City.
