Lace Stonze

Born and raised in the Brooklyn, New York Marcy Houses known as Rashaunda Skinner, Lace’s interest in a career in Hip Hop began at the tender age of 12. Being from the neighborhood where such famous artist as Jay-Z hail from, she has been heavily influenced by her environment. Writing rhymes and free styling was a past time in her hood.



Lace Stonze known as The First Lady of Marcy has performed in numerous clubs throughout the tri state area (New York, New Jersey, Atlanta Connecticut, and Philadelphia). She has recorded with artist such as Babs Bunny,Royal Flush and others. Lace has worked with producers such as 88 Keys, Static,Edobesi Murtoff,Dniscio Brooks and others.



Now she is even digging deeper with her talents. She has been writing, and co-producing songs for other artists. Gospel, R&B, and Pop music is just an addition of what this young woman can offer. Her writing skills are shown heavily, and will for sure be witnessed.



Lace has released her second mixed CD which is titled “Industry Under Reconstruction.” Her mixed CD is a mixture of original tracks as well as free styles. Her next anticipated C.D will be released in the fall of 2010 (untitled)



The late “Notorious B. I.G. (Biggie Smalls) inspired Lace Stonze immensely. Especially, his first production “Ready to Die.” “Biggie was from Brooklyn and he was street, but sill made music people could dance to. His lyrical flow was incredible”, says Lace. In her own lyrics, Lace gets away from describing the negativity in the hood and bringing the positive in her life, while still dealing with the harshness of life. Her lyrics basically deal with her realities. Her goal is to use her talents to give her son a better life.
