The Roots of the band go back to the year 2003, when the Creeping Skulls were founded. After several line up - changes, Johannes Zitz and Martin Hozak (who was playing the bass at that time) decided to go on and search for a new shouter and guitarist. This is how Hannes Waclawek and Gerald Gruber got into the bands rehearsal room. After the departure of their drummer, they soon recognized the skills of Markus Huttersberger, (?Isery, Paradise Hell) who joined the band in 2005, when Martin Hozak decided to leave the band because of personal reasons.
So finally, in winter 2005, the Death metal quartet LACERATOR ascended from the ashes of the bands Creeping Skulls and Paradise Hell.
The sound of LACERATOR is like a musical cocktail; an explosive mixture full of Hate, Aggression, Brutal rhythms and melodies. With guitars tuned down to the bottom of hell, most of the songs are dominated by speed, neck breaking grooves and blast beats.
In 2006 the band recorded their first studio album "The Killing Complex", with 11 uncompromising songs. After weeks of hard work and sleepless nights, the CD was finally ready for the masses.
After having their first CD in hands, LACERATOR had to push the limits of their abilities and proof their live skills. The bands aggressive live message made an impact, and took LACERATOR from small gigs in local bars to huge Festivals, such as SUMMER NIGHTS and METALCAMP.
It was early 2008 and it was time for the next logical step in the bands growth process: Heading over to the studio and bringing their sound and overall concept to an (ass kicking) higher level. The time in and after the studio sessions was one of the most difficult periods in the band's history. At a certain point Gerald Gruber decided to leave. The remaining band members continued working their asses off, to create a concept EP that tells the story of the ideological tautology that we call war; Not only battled physically since the beginning of mankind, but furthermore carried out in our heads day after day. And it was late 2008 when the bands new offering "Nightmare Machinery" finally saw the light of day. The new man on the second axe, Marc Aigner, joined the band right after the recordings.
2012 the band has returned to the rehearsal room unleashing new songs for an upcoming album.
