Rarely does a band come around that is as satisfying as a breath of fresh air. Emerging from the Washington D.C. area, the band Kyro is blending the musical styles of Tori Amos and early 90s alternative to create a sound they call "Groove Alternative." Kyro's catchy song writing and striking musical ability leave a lasting impression on every listener. Out in front is Kyro's lead singer Lindy LaFontaine who's rhythmical melodies are beautiful, soothing and soulful and blend seamlessly with her ambient keyboard playing. Guitarist Dan Mudge combines colorful effects and smooth chords with blazing guitar solos. Filling out the low end and always in the pocket is the extremely gifted bass player John Nugent. Drummer Ben Peters plays his beats with such groove and feel that it is hard to stay in your seat. Together, this foursome called Kyro is making splashes, and we're all going to get wet.
