Kyle Herring

Kyle Herring is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina and has recently relocated to the Philadelphia area. Blending his relaxed, soulful southern sound with aggressive lyrics and pop sensibility, Kyle has created music that listeners everywhere can feel. Drawing influences from a range of artists such as Edwin McCain, Butch Walker (formally of the Marvelous 3) and Jeff Buckley, Kyle has found a sound all his own. His latest recordings prove his ability as a storyteller and musician.

Kyle’s talents were first recognized by Edwin McCain, who helped him to get his break in the local music scene. After singing together at Cumberlands, McCain convinced the club to book Kyle his first professional show. By age 17, he had become a regular fixture in the Charleston club circuit. Recent accomplishments include appearing as opening act for Collective Soul, sharing the stage with Foster Child and many other noted Pennsylvania artists.

When asked why he chose this profession, Kyle explains, “My teenage years were kind of rough just like any other’s, but when I was 15 I was taken to my first concert. While watching the band I completely forgot about everything else in the world. All of my problems and worries… everything. All that mattered to me was what was happening on stage. If I can recreate that feeling for other people for an hour or so, there is nothing better than that.”

Currently Kyle is performing as a solo acoustic artist throughout the Philadelphia area. While successfully establishing himself as a local artist he continues writing and growing as a singer, songwriter and performer. With unforgettable melodies, lyrics and an undeniable presence, Kyle Herring proves that he is an artist here to stay.
