Reppin' from NYC's Lower East Side by way of Brownsville, BROOKLYN, K~Swift is an eMCee. Starting at age 12 ('93-'94) he wrote and recorded songs with the Cherokee Chiefs (producers for Master Fuol, Buddha Monk, and many others) as part of the rap group Creed until 1997. Those guys taught him a little about beat making too. He now records and performs as a part of the New Rap Order. MC K~Swift is also a member of the Universal Zulu Nation, and is honored to be one of Afrika Bambaataa's chosen party rocking emcees. A writer determined to make a strong mark on the face of English literacy, MC K~Swift coordinated programs and continues to mentor teens at Urban Word NYC. He also trains educators on bringing creative writing and performance into their classrooms. He firmly believes that New Rap Order will help find the cure for Boxed-In Syndrome, a condition that plagues musical artists today, particularly in the Hip-Hop Culture.
