KRUKID NEW ALBUM "LIFELINES" COMING THIS FALL!!!!!

Edwin “Krukid” Ruyonga, Born and raised in Uganda, East Africa, formed the Urban Thugz with a group of equally talented friends and won a countrywide music competition in early 2000, moving to the United States in 2002. Opening for a wide array of diverse respected hip hop artists from The Roots, Lupe Fiasco and Brother Ali to Mystikal, AfroMan and the Yin Yang Twins, he consistently rocked shows every time. Residing in Champaign, Illinois before moving to Las Vegas, NV, he won the award for best Hip Hop at the 1071 CU Local Music Awards two years in a row. Krukid caught the attention of many respected Local Musical Talents in the local Champaign area, including Derek Linzy of DLNZ productions and eventually Sanya N'kanta of Cash Hill Records. Under Cash Hill, he would eventually put out his Critically acclaimed Debut album “Raisin in the Sun” (4 out of 5 afros/questies on Okayplayer.com) and his much anticipated Sophomore release “African” (4 out of 5 afros/questies on Okayplayer.com) in Conjunction with Rawkus records. He also released a free album of unreleased exclusive material in the fall of 2008 entitled "Shining Guns Shooting Stars". Krukid was officially selected to be part of the Rawkus 50 in 2007. Rawkus records was famous for many underground hip hop acts such as Company Flow, Mos Def and Talib Kweli, Common, Kool G Rap, Pharaoh Monch and Skillz. It also helped further the careers of DJs and producers such as Hi Tek, Dr. Luke, Marco Polo and DJ Evil Dee. Its well known projects are The Lyricist Lounge and Soundbombing. Krukid’s sophomore album featured many of his talented friends including John Doe, Ryan Groff, Kayla Brown, Sanyankanta, Yes Yes, SMI, Larry Gates and Brandon T Washington. The beats also came from a more varied collective, including Mulatto Bastard, J Dub and Falynx. In the Fall of 2009 Krukid will release his third commercial album entitled "Lifelines", including production from The Four Shades(Minneapolis, MN), Timmy Knoxx(Champaign, IL) and Budo(Seattle, Wa/New York, NY). This album will be released collaboratively again under CashHill Records.
