Kris Lager Band is a Nebraska born group who have dedicated their lives to playing Soulful, original music.

With Lager on guitar and vocals and Jeremiah Weir on keys and percussion, the guys have a chemistry that comes from playing well over 1,000 shows together and the word is getting out that they are both powerful and unique. With their "Celebrate Life" mantra and working class musicianship, the show is constantly evolving as the lines between Rock, Soul, Blues, Trance, Zydeco, Reggae, Funk, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Gospel, and Boogie blur into a sound that is truly their own. Kris Lager Band's focus is not only on good sounds but also good Songwriting. Kris sings straight from the heart and you can tell that the words and the emotions are real as the songs evoke everything from Joy to Sorrow, Celebration to Meditation.

Longtime sideman and Hammond hauler Weir has proven to be a versatile musician and all around addition to the Groove. Together with Rockstar drummer/MC extraordinaire John Fairchild and burgeoning bassist Brandon Miller, they have traveled the country and honed their craft. Never resting on past success and always working in new material, it's undeniable that Kris Lager Band is the real deal. Good people, good music, and a Real Good Time.

"Despite its title, The Mighty Quinn, the new self-released album from the Lincoln, Nebraska based Kris Lager Band, has nothing to do with Bob Dylan or his song of the same name. And despite a lineup of guitar (Lager), organ (Jeremiah Weir), and drums (John Fairchild), KLB is not a jazz organ group; it's music tilts toward power-trio rock ('Sprinkle My Ashes,' 'Comeback Alone') with rootsy influences- an americana flavor creeps into tracks such as 'If That Sund Don't Shine,' a bit of soul into 'If I Get Lonely,' reggae into 'Hold On,' and Gov't Mule- style blues-rock into 'Shackles.' A keen melodic sense distinguishes Lager's songwriting."

-Tom Hyslop , Blues Revue"On record, the Kris Lager Band is so unassuming that it might take you a few songs to realize they're crack musicians with substantial songwriting abilities, rock-solid musicianship, and the kind of exacting sensibility that makes every song distinctive (and distinctly theirs). Then again, would you expect anything less from the band Indigenous frontman Mato Nanji hired for a nationwide tour? Those who reside on either coast might be used to thinking of the Midwest as flyover country, but "Transient" makes crystal-clear that the interior U.S. is a musical crossroads. The Kris Lager Band has a bluesy, rootsy base but builds on it using materials from zydeco, country, gospel, and Latin music. It's not variety for variety's sake, either: The band inhabits the borderland of genre boundaries so comfortably, it's clear that, to them, this is home. That kind of boundary crossing gives "Transient" a cosmopolitan flair that complements its friendly, down-home sensibility. Without sounding preachy or condescending, "I Got the Devil" and "My Own Worst Enemy" detail the darker ills to which humanity falls prey, evidence that Lager and company can serve up gourmet home cooking while respecting the intelligence of their listeners." --- Genevieve Williams, Blues Revue"Try sampling the 'Celebrate Life' sounds of the Kris Lager Band. This Nebraska band romps through many styles of music in their energetic live shows. You can't leave a KLB show in a bad mood" --BJ Huchtemann, The Omaha Reader"If the Black Keys, Ben Harper, and Deep Purple were in a van and you put that in a car smasher you'd get the Kris Lager Band" Charlie Johnson--Producer 'The Mighty Quinn'
