Karen es una joven artista enamorada de la música. Con sus letras y dulce voz transforma las melodías de su guitarra a un estilo original, fusionando diferentes géneros tal como el pop, rock, dance y hip-hop. En sus bellas canciones, Karen abre puertas a lo real, a la pasión y al amor. Todos estos sentimientos se encuentran resumidos en su primer álbum "Empezar a vivir" que está a la venta y su distribución esta a cargo de Sony BMG Music Entertainment (US Latin) LLC.
En el transcurso del 2007, se trabajó fuertemente en promocionar la primera producción de Karen "Empezar A Vivir". Con su primer sencillo "Se desvanece" comenzó su primera gira internacional por todos los programas más populares de la televisión latina en los Estados Unidos. Visitó programas como: Despierta América, Escándalo TV, Primer Impacto, Cada Día, El Gordo y La Flaca, Al Rojo Vivo, Nítido, Acceso Máximo, entre otros.
Esta misma gira se volvió a realizar cuando se continuó trabajando con su segundo corte promocional "No Es Justo". Por el contenido de sus letras este tema de corte social causo mucho impacto ya que trata sobre el abuso y el maltrato infantil.
De igual manera, en diferentes ocasiones Karen a visitado la Rep. Dom. donde ha hecho gira de promoción por todos lo medios televisivos y emisoras de radio mas importantes del país. En una de sus visitas, se realizó una rueda de prensa en el Hard Rock Café de Santo Domingo y en Dolce en la ciudad de Santiago donde hablo de su álbum "Empezar a Vivir" y se realizó la premier de su segundo video musical "No es Justo".
En HTV, importante canal de televisión dedicado exclusivamente a la difusión de videos de los artistas te podrás encontrar con los videos musicales "Se Desvanece" y "No es Justo". En el mes de Diciembre, Enero y Febrero 2008, Karen formó parte del programa de este mismo canal "HTV en la Mira". Estos videos también están siendo difundidos por diversos medios en Estados Unidos, Colombia, España y la República Dominicana.
El primer video musical "Se Desvanece" se realizó en la ciudad de NY por el director Ray Hungria y el Segundo video "No es Justo" fue realizado en la Republica Dominicana por el director Alberto Zayas.
En su primera gira por Miami, Karen participó junto a diferentes artistas como David Bisbal, Obie Bermúdez, entre otros en el evento "Disney Cumple un Millón de Sueños".
Karen forma parte de la fundación "Espacios para Crecer" esta es una fundación que esta encargada de ayudar a niños pobres y explotados en países de Latino América incluyendo a Rep. Dom. Su canción "No Es Justo" es el Himno Oficial de esta fundación.
Karen también forma parte de la fundación "Educación Calzada" la cual es una institución sin fines de lucro integrada por Comunicadores y Artistas de la República Dominicana y los Estados Unidos, que trabaja a favor de niños necesitados, cuya misión es aminorar la carga pesada que llevan algunas familias de escaso recurso y que afectan a los menores.
En los premios Casandra 2008, Karen fue la primera en pisar la tarima formando parte de la apertura de este gran evento. Junto a otros artistas que interpretaron canciones de diferentes épocas del merengue.
En el presente en la ciudad de Miami, Karen esta grabando su segunda propuesta musical, álbum que vendrá lleno de nuevas e interesantes ideas. Con un estilo que la define a la perfección, su música vendrá cargada de mucha energía positiva, juvenil y fresca; enriquecida por letras muy bellas, divertidas, románticas y profundas para todo tipo de público. Dentro de lo que es su música Pop, encontrarán fusiones de Jazz, Soul y R&B lo cual le dará un toque muy personal y original a sus canciones.

Karen is a young Latin artist in love with music. Throughout 2007 she worked on the promotion of her first album Empezar A Vivir. With her first single "Se Desvanece" she started her first international tour around the United Stated. During this tour she visited the most popular shows in Latin Television such as "Despierta América, Escándalo TV, Primer Impacto, Cada Día, El Gordo y La Flaca, Al Rojo Vivo, Nítido, Acceso Máximo, among others.
She once again did this tour when she continued promoting her second single "No Es Justo", which deals with abuse, exploitation and mistreatment of kinds in Latin America and around the world.
Karen had also toured in her native country Dominican Republic where she gets a lot of support. She has done Promotional tours with the most important Medias as well as Television and Radio shows all around the Dominican Republic. In one of her visits to D.R. she presented her self in the Hard Rock Cafe in Santo Domingo and Dolce in Santiago where she spoke about her album Empezar A Vivir and presented the premier of her second video No Es Justo.
In HTV an important channel dedicated to the hottest Latin music videos, you can find "NO Es Justo" and "Se Desvanece". In the months of December, January and February 2008 she formed part of a program title "En La Mira" from this same HTV Channel. This video is also very popular in countries like the U.S, Colombia, Spain and Dominican Republic.
Her first video "Se Desvanece" was shot in N.Y by Dominican director Ray Hungria. Her second video was shot in Dominican Republic by Alberto Zayas.
During her first tour in Miami Karen formed part of an event "Year of a Million Dreams in Disney" along with David Bisbal, Obie Bermudez and other artists.
Karen forms part of the foundation "Espacios Para Crecer" a foundation that helps poor and exploited kids in Latin American countries and carries "No Es Justo" as its theme song. Karen also works with different artist on another foundation "Educacion Calzada" this important campaign helps kids in need, whose mission is to help families with low income where kids are affected.



In the biggest award show from the Dominican Republic "Premios Casandra 2008" Karen was the first one to hit the stage leaving us with a great performance.
At the moment Karen is working on her second production. This album will come with a lot of new and interesting ideas. With a unique style that brings her to perfection. Her album will have a lot of young, fresh & positive energy enriched with beautiful, fun, romantic, and very deep lyrics for all type of audience. In her music you will find diverse sounds including Pop, Jazz, Soul, & R&B which will give it a very personal and original touch of Karen's Music.
