A rhythm devotee dedicated to his sticks, a true artist, a compassionate human who travels among every place to discover the magic of the mother (Mu-) of all sciences (-Sic), Kostas Anastasiadis, a drummer of high technical specifications, begins his carreer by winning the discriminative excellence of the "Percussion Institute of Technology" in California. His succesfull involvement in the musical scene brings out his special rhythm and his freestyle virtuosity. Showing the proper respect to his national roots he explores, studies, seeks the tradition and the cultural progress, creating a new wave of a sound.

Soon he discovers new high techniques which are trully recognized from high standard musicians such as Ralph Humphrey, Jack Dejonette, Alex Acounia as unique and revolutionary for the art of drumming. As an award to this step, the "Musicians Insitute" establishes his new applause of the "Unique Individual Stylist Award"

"Kosta Anastasiadis was enrolled at the Musicians Institute from September 1992 to March 1993. Kosta demonstrated a talent as a percussionist so outstanding and an approach so unique that the Musicians Institute chose to create a special award on his behalf, that of "P.I.T. Unique Individual Stylist". The P.I.T. Unique Individual Stylist award will be given in future years to any student who demonstrates the same level of ability and creativity as Kosta." Musicians Institute, February 25, 1996.

"I got to know Kostas as a drummer very well, particularly during the last six months of his program, primarily because I taught classes that allowed the students to participate in class. What he was able to demonstrate went far beyond what I was teaching, or what his peers were able to conceive. In fact, upon graduation, he received the All-Around Stylist Award, voted on by the P.I.T. faculty, and passed a special Vocational playing test with very high marks. I can say without hesitation that Kostas possesses a special talent that must be seen and heard to be fully appreciated. He can bring magic to a set of ordinary drums. His techniqal prowess and broad stylistic range lead one to believe that in a very short time, Kosta will be renowned and world famous musician and teacher." Ralph Humphrey, Pit Department Head of the Percussion Institute of Technology, part of the Musicians Institute of Hollywood, Calif.

At the end of his studies he becomes a teacher in P.I.T. and gives numerous seminars.

He co-operates in live shows with Kim Stown,Theodossi Spassov,Steve Bailey,Ahmet Misirli, Levent Yildirim, Tim Landers, Alex Acunia, The Hellenic Sounds, Jimmy Mahlis, Brett Garsed, Dave Posey, T.J.
