.You asked for it, well here it is! The long anticipated album from the rap phenomenon trio KODA. From Derby to Jersey all the way across to the West coast in Compton, California: Rico King (Louisville Ky.) The One (Jersey City, NJ.) & Sallie B. (Compton, California) have teamed up for their first collaborative success. On the way to becoming the most critically acclaimed album of the year, their effort in creating this extraordinary piece of work far exceeded the goal they first sought out to accomplish, which was to simply make some music that would break the monotony of repetitive rap songs and replenish the game with some groundbreaking landmark music! The chemistry between them shines brightly throughout the entire album by the arrangement of each compositon. From the very first song which was entirely written by The One, "MONEY TALKS" to the "KODA INTRO" and vigorously moving foward to the powerful club banger "BLACKOUT" this team takes hold of your undivided attention compelling you to become apart of each track thereby bringing you deeper into their personas. It is very clear which position each member holds in the group. THE ONE conveys cool confidence and conviction with a solid undeniable flow. Labeled by many and respected by all as the quintessential East Coast rapper, ONE adapts to each beat flawlessly and never leaves an unsatisfied ear after delivering sixteen bars of fire. His solo contribution "WE KEEP IT PUMPIN" clearly proves that he is untouchable and his number two pencil is sharp and ready for those who wanna try and test him. Next up is SALLIE B. aka JOKER FASE which goes to show why he is known as the wild card of the group. Cut from the cloth of the streets of Compton, California and quoted and devoted, SALLIE BOBBA is a M-80 with an extremely short wick. Better yet he's an 8.5 on the richter scale. He's the hood product from the ghetto, the epitome of the word gangsta with a voice that will snatch you up by the neck and lift your feet right out from under you! His aggresive brash delivery on songs like "TRUE TO THE GAME" and "RIGHT NOW" where he rips over the choruses and first verses of both songs demonstrate the powerful tone he possesses. By far, the most self proclaiming song Sallie B. offers up to the world has to be the ghetto anthem "THE HOOD BANGER!" . This is his pledge to the KODA ALBUM that consummates all the emotions burning in his system. Last but most certainly not least is the nucleus of the group. He puts the K in KODA and his name is Rico King. Destined to be one of the most respected and recognized voices in music, this multi-talented entertainer attributes verses, arrangements, and choruses which solitify his position. By delivering a style that many have tried but few have been able to achieve, he relys on his southern slang and vocal ability to add diversity and intrigue by corralating rap with singing. You can catch him lacing a chorus, filling it with harmonies one minute and the next he's spitten a sixteen bar verse. The element of surprise is his expertise. As a whole, the KODA ALBUM has enough leverage to remain street, yet one can't help but to acknowledge the massive commercial appeal it captures by culminating the right tracks with the right artist(s). This album doesn't even begin to hit the pinnacle of the groups potential yet it still ranks in the catagory of classic. " collectively, we're just touching the surface of what we can do. This is only our first album and the response has been amazingly crazy. Wait till you hear some of the tracks we have for our sophmore release. I'm not gon even say no more.watch you'll see" (RICO KING). The best has yet to come b/c if you didn't know about KODA before you definitly know who to check for now!
