The youngest of two brothers, Kocamo has a strong presence in the young generation of hip hop. Being an underground artist has not been as hard as most would think for Alabama- bred MC Kocamo. "It's not that young rap," Is the reply that he gives when approached by reporters who addresses his young age of 18. His lyrics are mature and has mass appeal to young and older hip hop listeners. After hitting the music scene as a solo artist in 2006, Kocamos southern- fried lyrics has landed him opening acts for major recording artists SCARFACE, RICH BOY, and YOUNG BUCK. Kocamo hit the radio airwaves in 2006 on 95.7 Jamz with his song "How I live," produced by DJ Slim. His new single entitled, "How You Do dat," has already begun to stream throughout the airwaves of 95.7 Jamz and the clubs in Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. "How You Do Dat" can be found of DJ Jukebox's Thug Muzik 20 Disk 2 Street Kingz. Kocamo teamed up with DJ Jukebox of the Hittmenn DJs and 95.7 Jamz to release his 1st mixtape entitled 100% BAMA. The mixtape released October 24, 2008 with 26 original Kocamo songs with no jacked beats. 100% BAMA can be found at Music & More, online etc.
