Kobra Abysmal Biography

Smashing the entertainment industry in the face with the force of a Bay Area
earthquake, Vallejo native Kobra Abysmal has arrived on the scene and is
destroying anything standing in his path of industry wide domination.



Born at Alameda hospital but spending all of his life in Vallejo, a section
of the Bay Area, Kobra grew up surrounded by hustlers, classic music and a
budding Bay Area Hip Hop scene. Early musical influences came from artists Ice
Cube & N.W.A.,Mac Dre,The Click, Too Short, L.L. Cool J, 2Pac, Awol Camp,Bad
Influenz and The Young D Boyz. At the age of 12 Kobra recalls recording his
first freestyles over instrumentals onto cassette singles. At first he
didn't take these recordings too seriously but as he continued to perfect
his flow and lyrics he began gaining attention around the Bay Area music
scene. By the young age of 18 he had gained enough attention to be invited
to record with the legendary Bay Area Producer Johnny Z at his studio. While
recording at the studio Kobra was surrounded by Bay Area superstars like Mac
Dre, B-Legit, N2Deep, Spice 1 and others.



Kobra would attempt to spend as much time as he could at the studio when he
wasn't in the streets hustling and was tapped to appear on the Johnny Z and
Young Dru Presented "707 Compilation." This project would stand as Kobra's
first released appearance and led to him connecting with other Bay Area
producers like Crest Side Vallejo based Steve Dee. Kobra's ever growing
buzz would lead other artists to reach out to him for features and have him
appearing on a number of classic projects. These projects included Young
Dru's "Flame Spitter" which Kobra co-produced two tracks on, The Rompilation
3 and The 707 comp Volume 2. With his new connections and slowly but surely
building buzz, Kobra set out to work on his solo album "Just What The Game
Needed." The buzz around Vallejo for the album was epic but unfortunately
before he could release the project Kobra was arrested for Possession of
Marijuana For Sales and was sentenced to a year in Solano County as well as
a six month drug program. This was just the wake up call Kobra needed as he
realized running the streets would ultimately be his downfall and he needed
to set his full focus on creating music.



Kobra's release in July of 2003 saw him in the studio with a renewed hunger
and a years worth of new music to put against the classic beats he was being
offered from various producers. In April of 2004 he released his debut solo
album "Just What The Game Needed." The release of his solo album solidified
Kobra as a factor in the Bay Area music scene and he began once again
appearing on a number of other artist's projects as well as doing mixtapes
with such notable DJ's as Dj Rick Lee, DJ Gio, DJ Rah 2k, and DJ Angus. Most
recently Kobra teamed up with his longtime partner in rhyme M-Dash to
release their mix-tape "The Dummy Duo."



To date Kobra's music resume reads like that of a artist who has been in
music for twice as long as he has, boasting features in various major Hip
Hop magazines, appearances on BET's American Gangster, and a featured guest
on Xplosive's Video Show Hour. Kobra has also became a highly sought after
artist for shows in The Bay Area having destroyed stages with Lee Majors,
Young Dru, The Stooie Bros., Jacka, Mac&AK, Matt Blaque, Turf Talk, A-Wax,
JayTee, Sean T, Sandman, Indecent & Krypto, and many more.



Kobra Abysmal is out of his cage and with a lyrical flow that is grabbing
audiences by the throat across the nation, it is no secret that the music
industry is eagerly awaiting The Broadway Bully's next move.
