I was born on November 25th in Frankfurt, Germany on Thanksgiving at 9:16am. I grew up in CO and the D.C. metro area. I had only one sibling, my brother Darren Brantley Sr. who was 20 years older than me due to my mother having 4 miscarriages before my birth. My brother was murdered on October 7th, 1999 by an ex-convict at his job by mistaken identity of the supervisor he planned to murder while at work. Unfortunately that man was my brother. I was 16 at the time but began to realize how short my life really is and how wise of a man I must grow to be.

I graduated from High School at Montbello in Denver, CO. This was in the year of 2001 when my mother and I moved to Washington, D.C. I began to work in the Pentagon and attending college. Only weeks after, my life was in danger from terrorist on 9/11/01. I then began trying to decide on what's next: college or the military? I've always wanted to see my birthplace (Germany) so I joined the Army in 2002. I got to Germany in Oct 2002. And then! 3 months later I was deployed to Iraq! I was there with 54th En Bn and 3rd Infantry Division during the first day of the War in Iraq (March 20, 2003).

Yes I've killed, seen death, retrieved bodies and lived a horrible life in Iraq along with my fellow soldiers for America's Freedom. My 21st birthday was spent in Iraq during a convoy ambush attack! (what a memory, huh?). After Iraq, I spent 2 great years in the country of Europe! I wish more African American's had the opportunity to visit a country where our race is highly loved! From our music, our clothing and even our wild styles in the club, German citizens greatly appreciate the life that we bring there and I will forever have love in that country!

In 2005, I relocated back to Washington, D.C. among politics and poverty communities. I gained employment with FEMA to mentor hurricane victims in regards to relief and guidance. Even though FEMA was not highly liked, I personally felt blessed to converse with survivors from such terrible disasters. The reason being is because I'm very knowledgeable of feeling hopeless and helpless from my tour of duty in Iraq (Jan 03 – Jan 04). I left FEMA due to 'no potential promotions'. Became a security guard and was Top Flight with 2 flashlights and a set of keys, which brought my career to Administration due to another 'no potential promotion'. Now, in 2010. Im ready to bring my project out and give everyone what they have been waiting for these past couple years!! HOLLA

Peace & God Bless
