Terry and Cindy Baucom are both from North Carolina. Cindy hosts the nationally syndicated radio show, "Knee-Deep In Bluegrass" distributed by the John Boy and Billy Radio Network. Terry plays banjo and sings bass and baritone.



Terry Baucom grew up in Monroe, North Carolina. He got his first banjo at age 10. He played locally in a band with his father, 'The Rocky River Boys'. His first professional job was with Charlie Moore on fiddle. Terry was a founding member of 'Boone Creek' with Ricky Skaggs and Jerry Douglas. He was also a founding member of' Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver' in 1979. He was with 'Quicksilver' until 1985 and rejoined the band in 2003, remaining until 2007. Terry was a founding member of' IIIrd Tyme Out' in the early 90's. He teamed up with Lou Reid to form 'Lou Reid, Terry Baucom & Carolina' (1994 IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year). Terry wrote the instrumental, "Knee-Deep In Bluegrass" which is the theme song of Cindy's nationally syndicated radio show.



Cindy Baucom grew up in West Jefferson, North Carolina. She started singing very early in life. She was playing piano by the age of 9. Around 14, she started playing guitar. At 15, she joined her father's band, playing bass. Her Bluegrass Radio Career began at the age of 17. Cindy's show, "Knee-Deep In Bluegrass" went into syndication in 2003. She was named the IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Broadcaster of the Year in 2005 and Chairs the IBMA Membership Committee. Cindy was also elected to the IBMA Board of Directors, representing Broadcast Media.
