First of all it's gonna start off like this. Knasherz which majority of people know him by, was born and bred in East London, who currently resides in Stratford/West Ham E15.

Knasherz started to show a interest in creating his own music from the age of 14 where he used to go by the name AK.47. Growing up listening to other MC'S like So Solid Crew, Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Heartless Crew, Nasty Crew, Flirta D, Wiley, D Double E, Ruff Squad, Mz Dynamite and so on plus watching Grime DVD'S such as Risky Roads, Lord Of The Mics, Lord Of The Decks, Bars, Aim High, Pratice Hours and Industry Lockdown inspired him to start himslf. However Knasherz was a very keen footballer at this time so he didn't really take it to seriously.

Further down the line from the age of 15-16 he began to get his bars out either on the street or set's which were held in a friends house; accompanied by a group of other MC'S. From here he gained enough confidence, taking it to a next level and began to attend open mic sessions at various youth clubs and centres for e.g North Woolwich, Forest Gate Youth Club, Community Links and Eastlea Youth Club.

Aged 15 Knasherz got his first taste of Pirate Radio on Hazard Fm 105.7 were he was a guest on the Marky B Show. However he began to get positive feedback from other people and then started to record his own music. Knasherz also got good feedback from this and help during this time period from Eatstlea Youth Club, who allowed him to set up a open mic session and exercise his bars. The help then continued giving him a oppertunity to perform in a black history show, were he performed a collaboration. From the performance, great feedback was obtained therefore one of the youth workers invited him to a show in Barking University to perform the tune again.

Knasherz who attended Eastlea Community School was known by the youth workers at the youth club giving him various links and a legitimate high standard studio in Kilburn, North London; with three other people. However this shortly fell apart due to other reasons.

Aged 16, on the verge to turning 17 Knasherz was heavily in his exam period. After finishing his exams a year prom was held were he again performed a collaboration. Furthurmore he then left his secondary school with 8 G.C.S.E'S to his name and was preparing for college. However he was then called back by one of the youth workers at Eastlea Youth Club to come and perfom for a second time. On the other hand the football phaze for him started to fade away due to injury and other reasons after having trials for Watford and unattended trials for thurrock, Dagenham & Redbridge and Tottenham.

Aged 17 Knasherz had then started his A-levels, then decided to to jump on a young alterpreneur bandwagon and design and sell his own T-shirts. Therefore he linked up with various desiners until he found the right one. He then thought of a slogan/message which people could relate, giving him a better target audience and something that was also useful music wise. After thinking various of various things, he then came up with I'M DOING THIS SHIT THE RIGHT WAY!, which was the final product containing a logo and a range of colours and sizes.

Looking deeper into it, Knasherz began to take this music stuff more seriously while still seeing it as a hobbie. However he linked up with a DJ who went by the name Drizzle, who he knew from school and was a current DJ in a collective group of artists called I Double L, who were situated in South East London. He was invited to a set by DJ Drizzle which he attended, showing what sort of wordplay he was working with. Again he achieved alot of positive criticism and then linked up with one of the members, to collaborate with each other one a track. This was then heard by other members, which then came to their attention to recruit Knasherz. He looked into it carefully and thought, as long as his level of music will stay at a high standard, and it could also elevate why not.
