Also gut. Noch mal für alle, die es wissen wollen:
KNALL ist ein Kölner Bandprojekt. Spaß ist Luxus und basta! Den Luxus muss sich keiner nehmen lassen; wir schon gar nicht. Deshalb üben wir KEINE Songs ein. Bis da mal ein Stück perfekt sitzt, nervt das schon; also werden Muster einstudiert, Kommunikation wird eingeübt.
Ansonsten gilt: Offen sein für jedes Verbrechen. Es ist doch schön, wenn für den Moment gespielt wird und kein Song wirklich wiederholt werden kann.
Dabei ist es uns egal, ob wir Genies sind oder gestörte Dilettanten; solange der Luxus gewahrt bleibt!
Keine Aufnahme wird jemals perfekt sein. Das ist auch gut so, denn Perfektion tötet.
Mal verspielt man sich; mal wird ein Mikrofon vergessen. Ab und zu verabschiedet sich eine Saite- aber in der Garage herrscht ein guter Raumklang; jedes Instrument wird einzeln abgenommen, auf dem Mischpult zu einer Stereo-Spur zusammengemischt und in Echtzeit aufgenommen.
Die Ergüsse unseres genialen Dilettantismus landen dann zum Waschen, Schneiden und Legen auf dem Computer. FERTIG!
Alle Songs dürfen beliebig kopiert werden. Aber schreibt unseren Namen richtig: KNALL!!!

That's what we do. Knall is German for Bang! or it even means to make an impact, to fall in love or to be slightly crazy. We encapsulate all this and more. Based in Cologne we are a band that groove regularly in our riverside garage and often take our free improvisations onto the stage.
No written songs as such we simply allow ourselves the luxury of playing what we feel at the moment we feel it and then set off on our musical journey. The musicians choose the keys, the singer chooses his themes and we move in our own orbits to create a space in which our carpet of sound can fly. The resulting piece can hold magic moments that are never to be repeated in this context and yet somehow repeat themselves as our orbital paths cross and re-cross. A musical library of our sessions exists and is forever growing. With our love for grooves, changing melodies and good vibes with a little message to boot our musical journey never ceases!
The horizon is always ahead and always widening never to be reached but the path going toward it never ceases to be exciting. Listen up and enjoy the KNALL!
