Kingspin

Kingspin, Raymo Ventura, is a songwriter who likes to make audio/visual awesomeness and sing like a smart-a-lick robot through a talkbox. He is best known for his concerto turntable exploits with the band MystiQuintet, which you can peep to your right via youtube. Since 2007, he's been a regular scratch musician for the philly-based group The Hustle. In the Summer 2009 he started his own label Fo Sho & Tell, releasing a vinyl picture disc full length LP "All They Do Is Dis" with longtime rockstar in crime Laura Cavaliere for their debut band project, Shades of Grey. In Summer 2010, he collaborated on another duo project Lion Tamer with NY vocalist/violinist Cody Geil for the label's 2nd full-length release "The Chase LP". From time to time, you can catch Kingspin's Danse Party Cinema events, where he optablizes audiences with a blend of soul claps, toe taps, and wry smiles.
