Kinch were a young brit-pop band from Leeds, UK. Upbeat and unashamedly pop with hints of Motown, ska and the early 80s, their music has been compared to Vampire Weekend, The Jam, The Kooks, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys and Dexys Midnight Runners.



Kinch supported Florence & The Machine, Alphabeat, Das Pop, Royworld, Iglu & Hartley, Little Comets and The Saturdays amongst others.



At the 2009 Leeds and Reading festivals, their catchy tunes and onstage energy attracted the BBC Introducing Stage’s largest crowd of the weekend at both sites.



Playing their first gig as Kinch in 2007, the band were named winners of Leeds Bright Young Things 2008 -previous winners include Corinne Bailey Rae and The Music. Their self-financed debut single, Old Fashioned Love , reached Number 7 on the UK Indie Chart in October 2008. They were also Leeds Rhinos Official Band.



Kinch's 4-track Bad Dreams EP was released in December 2009. It's available to order here.
