Kill A Celebrity are a Sydney-based Australian three-piece playing short, caustic and agonizing hyper-violent grindcore in the vein of The Kill, Gridlink, Discordance Axis and Pig Destroyer.

Kill A Celebrity formed in 2006 with Steve and Lachlan grinding out Nasum covers in Steve's bedroom. We released our 12 track demo ‘Grindslaughter’ in early 2007 (which you can download here), and have been playing live since 2007 after debuting at Grindhead Records' Slaughterfest.

In 2008 we released a very limited run split double-floppy disc with Anal Discharge through Lesstalk Records, which is now sold out. In Janruary 2008 we recorded 10 tracks with Tim Carr of Soviet Records at Gene Warfare Studios for a split CD with the chaotic UK grind band Krupskaya, which was FINALLY released on Grindhead Records in December 2009.

This band is now dead. We took to many psychedelics and the result is Adrift For Days.



 



KRUPSKAYA / KILL A CELEBRITY SPLIT CD



Grindhead Records spits out a crushing cacophony of chaotic, caustic grinding noise with the release of the split between Krupskaya and Kill A Celebrity.

Hailing from Stoke in the United Kingdom, Krupskaya exist as an extremely chaos-driven outfit, violently protesting the countless horrific crimes humanity has committed against itself through their very unique style of grinding noise. If the music represents the intensity of their convictions, then they are unequivocally serious, and their passion and outrage is sure to painfully resonate forever the ears of listeners.

Their songs are short, sharp and devastating; a combustive form of explosive experimental grindcore mixed with dizzying bursts of experimental hardcore and noise. Non-linear song structures are sewn alongside disorientating bursts of aggression, technical proficiency and enviable precision. The guitars, bass and drums inflict a dazzling array of violent spasmodic figures amongst a sea of swirling atmospheric screams.

Ultimately however, Krupskaya remains firmly rooted in the essence of grindcore, and will thoroughly appeal to those who are drawn by the jagged violence of groups like Discordance Axis and Agents of Abhorrence.

Conversely Kill A Celebrity are local Sydney-siders. Their brand of stripped back hyper-violent grindcore feeds off a shit-storm of break-neck blasting, paint-peelingly abrasive riffing and vocal-chord shredding screams alongside irrelevant absurdism, alienating chaos and misdirected bursts of fury. Speed and chaos are once more the focus as this three piece tear through blistering spates of short, fast and violent grind in the vein of The Kill, Gridlink, Discordance Axis and Pig Destroyer.
