Keys of Creation is a melodic blend of smooth Island Reggae. The founder and lead singer, Iakopo A.K.A. "Respect", was born in 1980 in Fountain Valley, California, he was adopted and reared in Upolu, Samoa. Growing up and living in Samoa, Kopo became fluent in the language and culture. The experience of living in both Samoa, and the United States, reckoning the diversity and culture, cultivated a deeper compassion and understanding of life which can be heard and felt in Keys of Creation's music. Inspired at the age of three, Iakopo became familiar with the piano growing up and became the writer of his own music after picking up his first guitar at the age of 13.
Legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Anthony B, and Sizzla, influenced Iakopo to produce his first hit album, "Let your Light Shine". In 2006 the tracks “Let Your Light Shine” and "Love Jah" made it in the top of reggae charts in the United States, Hawaii, Polynesia, Asia, & Europe. His second album "Born to Win" was released in 2008, featuring the track "Heart of Polynesia" which won the International Music Video Awards 2009 for world music.
Currently working on his third album that has already produced a few singles such as "By My Side", "Rhythm of Love". Keys of Creation has shared the stage with influential artists such as Israel Vibrations, Eeka Mouse, Junior Reid , Midnite, Army, Collie Buddz, Messenga Selah, and Tribal Seeds to name a few. Keys of Creation continues to tour the globe spreading love through his musical talent and meaningful lyrics.
