Kernelzero is more than just a band, it's a family who was born in September 2000.

Kernelzero isn't a simple band but a crew of friends united by the same passion for music and the respect for the positive

meanings of hardcore culture. From 2000 to 2003 the band, founded by Lanzetta brothers, have spent many evenings in

a small garage, having band practices and playing first shows in the local clubs or in festivals for students.

The life for a metal-hardcore is hard in Italy, especially when you live in a city like Salerno, where there isn't any form of music culture or scene

and places where you can have shows. The lack of attitude in some members was one of the main reasons why Kernelzero changed line-up many times, also after the recordings of the first demo "Connection zero to a temporal space"(2003), the band didn't have a true identity which lets

you believe in what you do.

Despite those problems, the band, after few shows in South Italy, gained the respect of the people and the interest of webzines which with good reviews

(sometimes too generous) helped to spread the name around. The line-up changes continued with Luca and Antonio being the only remaining original members. After a period of black-out, Giuseppe Nicolais(guitars) joined the band and few months later Adolfo Rosolia(guitars) and Angelo

D'Addio(drums). The new members bring a new kind of energy to the band which slowly helped to build up what is the true identity of the metal-core band.

At that time, Kernelzero recorded a promo of 2 tracks, entitled "Who I am" and "Defending what is yours", at the HH studio of Guido Torre. They have also had the chance to play in different events together with the most important Italian underground bands.

After another stand-by period of 3 months, Kernelzero starts again stronger than ever when Giuseppe Sorrentino (drums) becomes a member of the family.

This time the machine starts to move its first steps again getting into the HH studio in decemeber 2005 to record the first EP.

During the recording of the cd, Kernelzero starts a long live-perfomance activity all over Italy which helped the guys to meet new people from the italian underground hardcore scene and to share the stage with the likes of Browbeat, Sentence, To Kill and many others.

In june 2006 the brand new ep "3 hours of silence before death" , released by the japanese label "CROSSFIRE RECORDS", was an unexpected success

-"The metal parts in the tracks are dominating and the switches between the brutal riffs and the furious beatdowns are really to die for!"

(hardcoremusic.be) - Kernelzero promoted the album enjoying weeknds playing around in the most important locations in Italy and in Europe.

In June 2007 Adolfo decided to leave the band, his decision accepted by the rest of the band who were not broken by this event and they decided to continue to play as a foursome.

Kernelzero has already played shows with:

Sick of It all, Bury your Dead, Gorilla Biscuits, Walls of Jericho, Full Blown Chaos, The Black Dahlia Murder, Cataract, Emmure, Backfire, Solid Ground, The Warriors, For The Fallen Dreams,The Banner, No turning back, To Kill, Skinless, Nasty, Teamkiller, Enemy Ground and many others.

Kernelzero has its own style, it doesn't look for trends or haircuts, it just gets on stage with great respect for the bands they play with and for every single person who came to the show. Pure metal riffs meet breakdown parts which don't leave you any way out if you are standing inside a moshpit.

Every weekend is an opportunity to leave Salerno, drive for so long in the name of love for music.that is one of the reasons why when you talk about Kernelzero you talk in the main time about broterhood, perseverance, and respect for each other.
