KEN SIMBWA

Born and raised in East Africa Uganda ,Ken a.k.a simbwa Kenneth has been in love with music ever since he can remember. Born in a fairly musical family Ken was bound to take a musical path. “My dad was in a church choir and my mother was a praise and worship leader all my brothers and sisters are involved in music at some point,” says ken.



Following his studies at University, ken decided to pursue a music career. With strong African background he manages to keep an Afro feel on his urban style. Just like many notable successful recording artist, ken crafted his musical abilities from church and believes it only by God’s grace that he can go further in his musical journey.

A singer songwriter in his own right, ken tries to write about reality and his experiences in life and also about the never-ending love of God in his life.



The 15-12-06 witnessed the release of ken’s debut gospel album restoration on the soul healing records. This debut effort sees a collection of R&B/Soul offerings and even a venture into Bashment-land with a rap in his native tongue on one of the tracks. It also branches to a contemporary praise and worship sound and closes with a semi live mellow song.

This particular project has got reviews from different media houses but most notably in the United Kingdom.



A strong church and family upbringing have made a significant mark and influence in ken’s life and music. Not forgetting his family’s support and love for all kind of music.
