Kenne' Wayne grew up in the Deep South surrounded by music - R&B, soul, blues, gospel, zydeco, cajun and country. This rich musical heritage gave Kenne' his distinctive style. He brings the Dirty South into R&B. Imagine a touch of Gerald Levert and Anthony Hamilton with a slice of southern soul. That's Kenne' Wayne.
Kenne' realized he wanted to sing from an early age when he entertained his family and friends in his backyard, As a teenager, he entered talent shows and began performing with bands in his home town of Crowley, LA. In his late teens, he joined a popular local band that played throughout the state of Louisiana.
Kenne' soon learned that there was more to being an artist than just singing. An artist must also entertain. This realization led him to develop the Kenne' Wayne Show, an exciting and dynamic performance which provides his fans with a truly memorable experience. If you haven't seen Kenne' live, you're in for a treat.
After several years on the local circuit, Kenne' decided to expand his horizons. In 1995, he signed with MTE Records and released his first album, Old Fashion Love. This album introduced Kenne' to a wider audience. It also highlighted his talents as a producer and songwriter. Kenne's songs are taken from life - they are about love and heartbreak, joy and pain. Everybody, young and old, women and men can relate to these sentiments. Kenne's uptempo songs, such as The Party Ain't Over, reflect his motto, ' Live, love and have a good time'.
Kenne' Wayne is a seasoned entertainer. He has been on the road for 14 years with a steadily growing fan base and 6 successful albums to his credit. To date, Kenne's market has been mainly in the southern states where he has had a number of hits. Now he is about to widen his appeal, go nationwide and move into the urban adult contemporary market.
Kenne' Wayne has served a long apprenticeship. He is now ready to step into the big time with his new album, You're The Best.
