Bringing into harmonious synergy the elements of dance music, the transcendence of trance, the elevation of new age flavors – all functioning in a sound that is pop friendly but moving, thoughtful and artistic. The melodies flow in a sensuous embrace with the beats, creating a state of euphoria that enters the body through the ears.



The Real Drug



“Music makes me feel high,” says Dunn, revealing that she shares in the exquisite buzz the listener enjoys when wrapped up in the swirl of this artist's music. “It's an intense high,” Dunn continues; for her, music is something that reaches its tendrils into every space of her being. Body and soul are both moved – the same reaction to musical stimuli she desires to share with her fans. “Music turns me on. It moves my soul.” Dunn describes music as something that moves in the realm of the divine. She wants her audience to feel that and understand her own undying passion for music. “Music puts me into a sacred, holy, passionate, creative space. Music heals my heart and every cell in my body.”



Spirit



It is music's touch of the divine that draws Dunn to this form of art. Music feeds her soul and is its own source of inspiration, sparking Dunn's creative self, spurring her on to make music. A creative process this alive can't help but result in music that is stirring and mind-capturing. This is music that speaks to the whole person – mind, body and spirit, with the latter being the crux. “Spirit inspires me,” Dunn says. And she recognizes it in many forms and so draws creative energy from many aspects of life – in friendship, in love, in epiphanies of self-knowledge. Dunn cites all these things as manifestations of the spirit that drive her to write music that offers inspiration to others.



The Artist at Work



Dunn is a talented pianist, guitarist and percussionist. She choreographed her own dance for “Showtime at the Apollo” in New York, where she won the hearts of an audience notorious for booing acts it dislikes. Dunn has been in three off-Broadway musicals, was a featured dancer on “Entourage,” has done commercials for Verizon and Visa and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild. Dunn is busy gigging in Hollywood, but also spends time in London. She is tinkering with a European tour in 2008. Performing is a passion. But she also loves the time spent in the studio, where her recordings usually start with the vocal track with the instrumentation built around it layer by layer. In fact, she has a new album on the way; it's entitled “Here With You.” Dunn is also an accomplished dancer, proficient in both ballet ,tap& jazz. It too calls upon the power of the sacred, she says. “I love to express myself with my body and my voice.” But whatever the form of art, Dunn just loves performing. (She also teaches Yoga and is certified in the hands-on healing art of Reiki.) She's currently working with A&R Select, the world's leading artist development firm, based in Los Angeles, CA.
