Eighteen years ago, it first twinkled. A star that would brighten the skies like no other before it. On March 25, 1990, Boyton Beach became the birthplace of Keiara Janai Johnson, possibly making “The Sunshine State” shine a bit brighter. Three syllables reveal her industry name, Keke J, but it is undeniable that her voice speaks for itself.

With a voice for the heavens, the Florida native flaunted her musical talent as young as the age of 4-years-old. Before she even stepped foot in an elementary classroom, her love for music was lucid . Little did she know, she would one day be able to set fame as an equivalent to her destiny. She grew up embracing her talent and learned to nurture it, and in return her talent became more and more obvious. Performing at weddings, family reunions, community events, or just for a listening ear, Keke J became overtly noticed and a fan base began to bud.

Prior to graduating from Boynton Beach Community High School, KeKe was a soloist in her school chorus and a student conductor. With unnecessary bashfulness, KeKe explains, “…I was always shy to sing on the spot, but when I did I gave it my all.” She ended her high school career as captain of the cheerleading squad and had a very promising future in the sport,; but without a doubt, music was her calling. And she ran to it.

Thousands of fans stronger, Keke J is in a place in life where “progress” is the key. In June 2008, she teamed up with 45th, music producer, who was also a part of the team who worked to get rapper Ace Hood signed with Def Jam Recordings. They now have a common goal: Making progress. “Her voice…it’s…just …amazing…”. Daniel “45th” Lubin admits as he struggles to find stronger words. The summer of 2008 was a very busy one as the two wrote and recorded over a dozen songs that may already be playing on your MP3 player or even be on your MySpace profile. Her R&B hit “Arguing” reveals the very emotion of relationships, love, and all of the drama within. She brings in something sexy with pop record " Want Me”, seductively belting “Don‘t be gentle because I like it nice and rough…throw me against the wall boy!”.

In November of '08, Keke J. released "Neck Breaker" ft. Broward County's own, Ace Hood, introducing the world to the true definition a NECK BREAKER. Produced by no other than 45th of G4 Music, "Neck Breaker" is sure to reach the stars.

Keke is now in the studio working on her upcoming mixtape titled "Purple Kisses vol. 1", shceduled to drop in April. Following "Purple Kisses", "L.I.P.s vol. 2", which will introduce her Album

It is certain that KeKe J is the next to blow. The question is: Is the world ready for a star so bright. In regards to her passion, she explains “Music makes me happy. It makes me sad. Music gives me an outlet. It’s my escape when I can’t deal with my personal problems.” She twinkles…she shines…she is KeKe J….a star.
